Second National Forum for Sustainable Development – Public Private Partnership

5-6 June 2003 / Ploiesti

This was a further successful event organized in the second phase of LA21. The Forum was supported by the partnership between UNDP, the Romanian Federation of Local Authorities, the City Council of Ploiesti and Unilever.

The main results were:

• The participation of more than 250 guests, bringing together high level representatives from the central and local authorities, NGOs, multinational companies and international organizations

• Engagement of the guests in identifying possible public-private partnerships to sustain the achievement of the main goals of the LA21

• Exchange of experience in establishing successful public-private partnerships in Romania
