Implementation period: 2003-2005
The NCSD was involved in the EU-financed Programme Leonardo da Vinci as a partner in the three year project on Renewable Energy Sources and Environment Management.
The project was implemented by a team of 9 partners:
- Transylvania University, Brasov – Romania (as coordinator)
- Foundation for SMEs, Brasov – Romania
- County Council Brasov – Romania
- National Centre for Sustainable Development, Bucharest – Romania
- University of Zaragoza – Spain
- Fachhochschule Aachen Julich – Germany
- Technological Research Centre, Patras – Greece
- Professional Training Centre Euro-New Horizons, Aigion – Greece
- University of Technology, Delft - The Netherlands
- The Institute for Sustainable Energy, Delft - The Netherlands.
The project aimed to develop a dynamic, user-friendly e-Training tool to enable the interested users to browse through new technological developments posted on RES&EM in order to get acquainted with good practice projects around the world.
In order to fulfill this aim, the following objectives were set:
- To build up a transnational network (among the original partners, while leaving open the possibility of enlargement) in order to develop a frame for continuing vocational training on RES&EM.
- To develop a group of experts (trainers and training planners) that are able to offer services aimed at improving the adaptability of the beneficiaries to the needs of the labour market.
- To develop a Material Resources Centre as a strong training and dissemination tool, to reinforce and to develop the existing infrastructure in all partner institutions.
- To develop the components of the e-Training tool in terms of products and training methodology based on ICT and to ensure an integrated training system.
- To test the quality of the products by delivering to ‘’test groups’’ the required information and training skills on how to introduce and implement RES&EM in various economic, service and production sectors.
- To evaluate the quality of the e-Training tool and of the other products by registering the feedback from the testing activities and external evaluation processes. A Product Evaluation Group and a Strategy and Management Evaluation Group were responsible for the internal evaluation in a,transparent manner.
- To disseminate the project outcomes and to register the response to these activities in order to improve the e-Training tool.
